i don't wanna sound like a picky a**hole dips*** n***** or n**** but to me not as much heaver and faster on the first demo but.... it sounds pretty ok. Andrew [Evil Misanthropic Lonewerwolf] Brown
I love the combination of the late 80s deathgrind sound with Incantation style cavernous death metal. These guys have a good understanding of speed dynamics too; when the tempo drops the grooves hit hard. Also the aesthetic is super cool. grahamy
Picked up their first album on a cassette, mostly on a whim, and it quickly became one of my favorite albums of all time. Gowanus is the follow-up that I wanted it to be, and more. Gravesend's sound manages to be downright filthy and savage, without sacrificing clarity. A bubbling, viscous pool of death metal viscera sprinkled with blackened bits of grindy goodness. Not only do I recommend this album, I recommend you purchase the first album and then listen to the two back-to-back. IAmScrum
